". . .the intricate makeup design by Erica Dreckman [for the production of Cats] is of such delicate artistry that it evokes Cirque du Soleil. These faces constitute 16 portable, prowling works of art. . . [Kimberly Tedder] owes an assist to her makeup designer, who ages the youngster not with silly wrinkled makeup but with stylistic streaks of facial gray."

Re: Ms. Erica Dreckman - Feature Film Makeup Artist

Dear Reader:
We acquired Ms. Erica Dreckman's services for the position of head makeup artist on the feature motion picture project American Dream?. Of the 35 production crew members that worked on the set of American Dream?, Ms. Dreckman, without a doubt, proved to stand out as one of our best acquisitions. Our recommendation of Ms. Dreckman as Feature Film Makeup Artist is based on the following traits observed and experinced durint the production of American Dream?:

  1. Artist Skill--She met and exceeded all makeup, prop, and special-effects requirements called for by the American Dream? script, storyboards, and on-the-day directorial decisions. Of the three makeup artists involved in the production, Ms. Dreckman proved to be the most skilled and talented.
  2. Attention to Detail--Erica showed thorough detail to all actor and prop dressings throughout production, personally clearing all applications for filming with the director or assistant director before camera role. This eliminated retakes due to makeup inadequacies or inconsistencies, and helped to keep each shooting day on schedule.
  3. Application Speed--When it came to preparing and the subsequent dressing of talent or props for filming, she showed exceptional speed and efficiency, without ever compromising quality or detail. Again, in this arena, she stood head and shoulders above the rest.
  4. Creative Input--American Dream's overall production quality benefited by Ms. Dreckman's professional suggestions and creativity. On several occasions she was able to create better and more elaborate work than what was originally agreed upon. Because of this, we decided to give Ms. Dreckman complete creative control in her department, which on many productions is never the case.
  5. Professionalism and Ease of Work--Erica was always on time to the set, despite having to drive a minimum of one hour to get to the nearest location. She exuded complete professionalism at all times, regardless of late hours or grueling weather conditions. In addition, possibly the most pleasant trait experienced during her tenure on American Dream, was her general ease to work with. Personality and ego conflicts: zero; Communication barriers: nonexistent; Approachability and ease of conversation: very high.

In closing, we were extremely pleased with Ms. Dreckman's performance as our Head Makeup Artist, as well as the non-job-related tangibles that she brought to the American Dream production.

We would indeed recommend Erica for a multitude of projects, from feature film, television, commercial production, to theatrical work. We ourselves hope to utilize her services on future Pure Film projects.

To Whom It May Concern:

I give Erica Dreckman and Rocky Mountain Makeup Design my highest recommendation. Erica and her team approach their projects with creativity, professionalism, and aplomb. I have known Erica for many years, and that is her approach to all her projects. Erica's work on our production of A Christmas Carol at the Lincoln Center wasn't just sufficient--it was an essential element and enhancement to the production and helped it to be a huge success.

You can see their work online at www.ladeda.ws in the photo gallery, including Marley's ghost, Tanner when he's frozen, and the full cast's hair and realistic makeup.

Sincerely,
Nick Turner
